Accepting VietQR payments
VietQR is Vietnam’s national QR payment standard, operated by NAPAS. A customer scans the code with the app of any participating bank and the payment moves as an interbank transfer, so one QR reaches customers of almost every Vietnamese bank.
How a customer pays
- 01The checkout shows a QR code for the payment.
- 02The customer scans it in a bank app and confirms the transfer.
- 03You receive a signed notification when the payment completes.
Integration note
Use a dynamic QR per order so the amount and order reference are pre-filled; a static account QR forces manual reconciliation.
Through CVPay
- Pay-in methods include VietQR, MoMo, ZaloPay and Viettel Money in Vietnam, and GCash, Maya, GrabPay and QR Ph in the Philippines.
- Pay-outs can be sent to local bank accounts in Vietnam and the Philippines, or as USDT to a wallet.
- One merchant account and one API cover all three currencies.
- Payment status changes are sent as webhook callbacks, and every callback is signed.
- Merchants are onboarded after a KYB review. A sandbox environment is opened first, and the sandbox is isolated from production.
Which methods are enabled on a specific merchant account is confirmed during onboarding.
